Paris 2024 Games, Impact on your journeys

In anticipation of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games (from 24/07 to 11/08/2024, then from 28/08 to 08/09/2024), the Paris Police Prefecture plans to set up a security perimeter around the Seine in the coming weeks. Any movement within this zone will require an exemption.

The impact on journeys will be significant during the assembly phase, then during the activation of the security perimeter from Thursday 18 July 2024 (one week before the opening ceremony of the Games).

Your company headquarters or your home is located within the security perimeter? You have business appointments scheduled during this period? Find out what measures you need to take when travelling!

However, applications for motor vehicle passes to access the no-traffic zones around the competition venues will be open later.

Discover if you are concerned by the pass

In many situations, a Pass Jeux is not necessary. So, it is essential to check whether you really need one.

To find out whether an address is located within a zone subject to the Pass Jeux, please visit the Anticiper les Jeux web site and consult the interactive map to find out which areas have been identified by the Prefecture Police.

Get your Pass Jeux

The Pass Jeux is a personal pass which takes the form of a QR Code to be presented at access points in the areas concerned. Applying for a Games Pass is free. It can be applied for on the official platform, or at your local town hall if your municipality has deployed a support scheme. Obtaining a Pass Jeux requires a valid reason and proof of identity. In addition to a photo and proof of identity, you may be asked to provide other supporting documents, depending on the reason for the request (proof of address, proof of visit, proof of employment, vehicle registration document, etc.). Don’t forget to prepare them in advance of your application.

The QR Code is not issued instantly. Once you have submitted your request on the dedicated platform, it may take several days to obtain the Pass Jeux, while the authorities carry out an administrative enquiry.
